3 1/2 months old and licking concrete - yum!

The month of October was a BIG month for this little pup.  First, off to the Pharis' house to hang with Auntie Caly.  Next,  a chance to meet and hang with Uncle Rocky.  :-)
And then back and forth to a dog show.  The first of many I'm sure.

Monty visiting Auntie Caly's for the first time and learning to play a game of tug-o-war.

Uhm, guys ... She's scaring me.  Whew!  That's better.  But where did she go?

Ah ha!
A game of ring around the grooming table, Miss Caly????

And then to Portland, Oregon to stay with Uncle Rocky.  Yeehaw!
Pit stop at the dog show to put in some ring time ...

Monty beat this very nice little puppy bitch, taking Best of Breed.
Next, it was off to the Group Ring, where he competed in the Working Group and took a Group 4th.

Not too shabby for his 1st time out!

We stayed with Tay & Kathy over the weekend.  They're the ones who adopted Caly's litter-brother, Rocky.
As you can imagine, the camera came out on more than 1 occassion.  Here are some of my favorites ...

If the cats can do this, so can I!  Okay ... maybe not.

Taking Miss Sarah for a drag.  Dog shows rule!
Though I will never forget this story:  As you know, puppies sometimes have accidents.  Sarah & I were hanging with the pup while Carmen ran an errand ... and he had a little oops.  We weren't prepared.  Me?  Yay, I know.  But it's true.  So Sarah ran off to the bathroom for some towels.  Meanwhile, Carmen caught up with Monty & me, so I went for towels as well.  Now, I understand the auto hand towel dispenser has some positives, but 1 towel wasn't going to pick up a few cups of puppy pee!  So here's the part I will never forget ... I walked into the bathroom to find Sarah running around in a circle infront of 6 or so auto towel dispensers.  She timed it almost perfectly so that she could set them all off in 1 pass, rip them all off in another pass, and then repeat the whole process.  She looked at me and said shaking her hands - "This is all I could get!" - which  amounted to maybe 12 barely enough to dry your hands with towels.  We kicked it into high gear.  Sarah set them off, and I tore the sheets off.  Circle <voomp>, circle (rip), circle <vooomp>, and circle (rip).  I'm sure we looked completely crazy - not to mention laughing the whole time like complete idiots!  It was GREAT!!!
-- Got the job done in true Sarah & Lila fashion! --

Monty crashes with half-sister, Selene.  Awh!  She loves her baby brother.

Night, night time.  Driving home from Ridgefield, Washington.
THANK YOU Tay & Kathy for a lovely weekend!

Another visit to Tay & Kathy's house.
Still too young to enter the Rose City Classic (by only a week-ish), but came along to cheer
on his Momma Josie, Daddy Hooch, half-sister Selene and the rest of the family entered at the dog show.

Visiting the Pharis Family before heading off to his 1st Canadian dog show.
